Paste Resume Text The most reliable route — works with any format

Copying the text out of your resume and pasting it here is often more accurate than uploading the file, because nothing depends on how the PDF was produced.

Files are read in your browser and are never uploaded to our server.

Your resume is processed locally in your browser whenever possible. We do not store your resume data on our server.

A resume is usually the first thing a recruiter sees, and it is often read by software before a person ever opens it. This resume maker keeps both readers in mind: the layout stays clean and predictable so applicant tracking systems can parse it, while the typography and spacing stay good enough to look considered on a screen or on paper.

Everything happens inside your browser. Your details are never uploaded, never stored on a server and never logged. The resume is saved in your own browser storage as you type, so you can close the tab and continue later, and you can export the whole thing as JSON to move it between devices.

How to use this tool

  1. Fill in the form on the left — personal details, summary, experience, education, skills and any optional sections you want.
  2. Watch the A4 preview on the right. It updates as you type and flows onto extra pages when the content is longer than one page.
  3. Open Templates and switch between Classic ATS, Modern Professional, Minimal and Technical. Your data is untouched when you switch.
  4. Use Download PDF for a text-based PDF that applicant tracking systems can read, or Print for a paper copy.
  5. Export your data as JSON if you want to keep a backup or move to another computer.

Frequently asked questions

Is the resume maker really free?

Yes. There is no account, no payment, no trial and no watermark on the exported resume. The tool is supported by advertising on the page, never inside the document.

Is my personal information uploaded anywhere?

No. The form, the preview, the PDF and the print output are all produced by your own browser. Nothing is transmitted, and there is no server-side storage of resume content. Your data is saved only in your browser, and you can clear it at any time with Clear Resume Data.

Which template should I choose?

If you are applying through an online portal, start with Classic ATS. It uses a single column, standard section headings and no graphics, which is what parsers handle best. Modern Professional and Technical add a little more visual structure, and Minimal is the most restrained. You can switch at any time without losing anything.

Does the PDF work with applicant tracking systems?

The PDF contains real, selectable text rather than an image of text, with standard fonts and no columns, which is the combination parsers handle most reliably. It does not guarantee any particular system will read it perfectly — you can check the result with our ATS Resume Checker.

How long should my resume be?

One page is ideal for under about ten years of experience, and two pages is normal beyond that. The preview adds pages automatically instead of cutting content off, and the length check in the ATS tool will tell you if your resume has grown longer than a recruiter is likely to read.

Can I add a photo?

Yes, but it is optional and off by default. Photos are common in some countries and discouraged in others, and many parsers ignore or misread them, so think about your market before enabling one.

Does the resume improvement button use AI?

Not at the moment — AI assistance is switched off, and the button tells you so plainly. The whole builder works without it. When a provider is configured, any text you send for rewriting will be clearly disclosed before you use it.
