Different places want different formats: a marketplace asks for JPG, a design tool wants PNG, a fast website prefers WEBP. This image converter handles all three in a single interface so you never need a desktop program.

Drop in a batch of images, pick the output format and quality, and download the results. Transparency is preserved when converting to PNG or WEBP, and flattened onto white when the target format cannot store an alpha channel.

How to use this tool

  1. Add one or more images by dragging them in, browsing for them, or pasting from the clipboard.
  2. Choose the output format: JPG, PNG or WEBP.
  3. Set the quality slider — it affects JPG and WEBP only, since PNG is lossless.
  4. Press Convert, review each result and download them individually or all at once.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert from and to?

Input: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP and GIF (first frame), wherever your browser can decode them. Output: JPG, PNG and WEBP.

Can I convert GIF animations?

Static output only — a converted GIF becomes a still image of the first frame. Animated output is not supported by the Canvas API this tool is built on.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WEBP both support transparency and will keep it. JPG cannot store an alpha channel, so transparent areas are composited onto a white background to avoid black edges.

Does converting lose quality?

Converting to PNG from any format is lossless apart from the original compression. Converting to JPG or WEBP re-encodes the image, so use a high quality setting such as 90 if you plan to edit the result further.

Is batch conversion supported?

Yes — add up to 20 images in one go and they are all processed with the same settings. Each row keeps its own download button.
