Converting WEBP JPG

Drag & drop your WEBP files here

or

JPG · PNG · WEBP · GIF  |  paste with Ctrl+V

Up to 20 images, 25 MB each, 50 MP max

Your image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.

WEBP is great on the web, but plenty of desktop applications, older content management systems and upload forms still refuse it. Converting to JPG is the quickest fix when a WEBP file is rejected.

The converter decodes the WEBP in your browser and writes a standard baseline JPEG that opens everywhere. Transparency, if present, is flattened onto white because the JPEG format has no alpha channel.

How to use this tool

  1. Drop your WEBP files into the upload area.
  2. Pick a quality level — 90 keeps detail, lower values shrink the file further.
  3. Press Convert and review the output thumbnails.
  4. Download the JPG files, renamed automatically from .webp to .jpg.

Frequently asked questions

Why would I convert WEBP back to JPG?

Because some software, print services, email clients and older upload forms do not accept WEBP. JPG remains the most universally readable image format.

Will I lose quality?

A small amount, since JPG re-compresses the image. Using quality 90 or above keeps the difference invisible in normal viewing.

What about transparent WEBP files?

Transparency cannot be stored in a JPG, so those pixels become white. If you need to keep the alpha channel, convert to PNG instead.

Can I convert several WEBP files together?

Yes — up to 20 files per batch, each processed with the same settings.

Does this work offline?

Once the page has loaded, yes. There is no server round trip, so conversion works even without a connection.
